Aborn Pet Hospital was founded in 1987 by Dr. K.S. Mann and Grimmer Blvd Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1972 by Dr. Metcalfe. After many years of growth and services Aborn Pet Hospital decided to expand their excellent services to more Tri-City clients. In 2003 Aborn Pet Hospital acquired Grimmer Blvd Veterinary Clinic and shifted clients to Aborn Pet Hospital. The name of the two hospitals was also combined and changed to Aborn Veterinary Hospital. By combining these two hospitals we could provide a higher level of healthcare and better customer services.

  Our Board Certified Veterinarians are members of the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the Alameda County Veterinary Medical Association (ACVMA). Our other professional affiliations include: Irvington Business Association.

At Aborn Veterinary Hospital we strive to fulfill the needs of our clients by providing quality pet healthcare services through a responsive & professional staff that places emphasis on individual attention and commitment to our clients and their pets. We also strive to be leaders in our community by actively working with local rescue groups such as Feral Cat Foundation, Fix Our Ferals, Furry Friends Rescue, and the Ohlone Humane Society.
